who is
José Ignacio Latorre
?
José Ignacio Latorre (Barcelona, 1959) is one of Spain's most renowned theoretical physicists. Holding a PhD in Physics from the University of Barcelona, he completed research stays at MIT and the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. He has served as director of the Centre for Quantum Technologies in Singapore and the Quantum Research Center in Abu Dhabi, and is the co-founder of Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech, the company developing the first quantum computer in Southern Europe. In addition to his scientific career, Latorre is a thinker deeply concerned with the ethical implications of technology. Author of "Cuántica, tu futuro en juego" (Quantum: Your Future at Stake) and "Ética para máquinas" (Ethics for Machines), he combines the precision of a scientist with the lucidity of a humanist. At TheNomba, he helps us look at the universe from within: from the mystery of the quantum vacuum to the observing consciousness, knowledge becomes a form of wonder and responsibility.
