who is
Ricardo Piñero
?
Ricardo Piñero Moral (León, 1965) is Professor of Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts at the University of Navarra, where he teaches philosophy to economists and architects. Previously, he was a professor at the University of Salamanca. Over the course of decades, he has directed and participated in research projects on Spanish aesthetic thought, contemporary art, and its relationship with education. He has been a visiting professor at universities in Denmark, Germany, Italy, Romania, Croatia, Argentina, and Peru, and is a member of the editorial board of several scientific journals and an academic member of the Center of Medieval Culture Studies at St. Petersburg University. His work explores the relationship between art and human formation, rooted in the conviction that beauty is not a luxury but a path to the essential. At TheNomba, Ricardo opens the journey of self-knowledge from an anthropological perspective and walks us through the visual arts, because for him, looking at a painting and looking at oneself are the very same exercise.
