Tomás Alfaro Drake
?
Tomás Alfaro Drake (Madrid, 1951) holds a degree in engineering from ICAI and an MBA from IESE Business School. Following his early years as an engineer, he shifted his career toward business management, teaching, and humanistic outreach. He has served as a professor of Economics, Finance, and Marketing at IE Business School (1979–2021) and at the Francisco de Vitoria University (1998–present), in addition to serving as a member of the Board of Directors of BBVA (2006–2020). His teaching vocation and his ability to translate major economic concepts into the language of everyday life have made him one of the most respected voices in the dialogue between economics, ethics, and humanism. At TheNomba, he guides us through economics understood not as a technical science, but as practical wisdom at the service of the common good.
